I discovered this amazing website recently where you can make a “Quick and Dirty” Photo Zine. If fact that is the name of the website. It makes a small, well formatted letter sized zine to print on regular paper on regular printers. It also has a QR code if you want to bring you readers to a webpage or Youtube video.

So what exactly is Solar Maximum?
Solar maximum is the peak of the Sun’s approximately 11-year activity cycle. At this point the Sun’s magnetic field is at its most tangled and intense, producing the highest number of sunspots, solar flares, and coronal mass ejections. After solar maximum the activity gradually winds down toward solar minimum before building up again.
We are currently (in 2026) in the declining phase of solar cycle 25 and we are now past the “peak” of solar maximum which occured in 2025.
While the sun is certainly having more “quiet” time, every once in a while things flare up like it did on this day. ( see video below)
