On a warm summer evening during the darkness of the new Moon my husband and I paid a night time visit to this splendid lighthouse located on Prince Edward Island.
Built in 1845, Prim Point lighthouse was the first built and is the oldest lighthouse on the Island, I was a key navigational beacon for visiting ships as they entered the Charlottetown harbour.
While the moon was absent and they sky dark this is an operational lighthouse with a lot of light circling around us. not to mention someone left the light on inside the little red house.
Despite all of thie glorious summer Milky could be seen rising out of the Atlantic Ocean on thie fine summer evening.
Technical details
Nikon Z6ii Astro-modified by Spencers 15mm Laowa lens at f/2.8 ( not wide open)
25 x 13 sec exposures on a fixed tripod location. The Sky images were alighed and stacked and blended with a foreground image using the software Sequator.
Equipment details
Imaged with the astromodified D750, and the Rokinon 20mm f/1.8 lens.
